About this site

InterestingMoney was started in March 2007 as a way for me to keep track of my path toward financial freedom. Whether we like it or not, money affects all of us, and I only started learning more about it in recent years. I do not give seminars or write books on how to make millions, but what I will do is offer my own advice on how to keep more of what you have. Perhaps I will even explain ways in which you can make an extra buck or two. Best of all, none of it will cost you a dime.

About me

I’m a 30-something college professor. Married homeowner. Angler of little streams. None of that really matters anyway. I’m just some-random-guy-online.

None of my degrees are related to finance, nor do I profess to be an expert on the subject. I’m in the Arts after all, which means I don’t make much money. I also spent six years as a graduate teaching assistant earning next to nothing. As a result, I learned (and am still learning!) to keep more of what I make and invest the little I have to earn even more. Saving money is a necessary hobby for me, and I learn new tricks all the time. In the process I will share them here.
