I won’t “spam” you or sell your information to anyone, for any reason. You can subscribe for site updates, but you must opt-in to that and you can cancel at any time. Subscriptions are handled through Feedburner. I do use a “web counter” that measures how many people visit my site, but it does not record any personally-identifiable information.
